Problem going to Photoshop and back to lightroom

When I go from Lightroom to Photoshop, I check the save Lightroom additions and they appear in Photoshop with the Lightroom adjustment, as they should. When I return to lightroom all is well, BUT, when I go to Photoshop the second time from Lightroom and also back-checking the save Lightroom adjustments  are missing. Why is this?

When send a raw file via "Edit in Photoshop" to Photoshop, Lightroom Classic applies any Lightroom Classic adjustments you’ve made to a copy of the file and sends that file to Photoshop.

When working with other file formats, like a .psd file, a Edit Photo dialog box is displayed before sending files to Photoshop.

In this dialog you've three options:

• Edit A Copy With Lightroom Classic Adjustments — Applies any Lightroom Classic adjustments you’ve made to a copy of the file and sends that file to Photoshop for editing.
• Edit A Copy — Edits a copy of the original file without Lightroom Classic adjustments.
• Edit Original — Edits the original file without Lightroom Classic adjustments.
