'Problem syncing with current catalog.'

In LR classic 'sync with Lightroom mobile' is currently paused, when I try to start sync I get the following message 'Problem syncing with current catalog.'

'This appears to be a duplicate or automatically created backup of your catalog. As it may not be current, sync has been disabled for this catalog.

To make this your sync catalog, please relaunch  Lightroom and enable sync' I press Restart but the problem is still there.

I had to install a backup copy of my catalog after the original one was corrrupted after a recent update of Windows 10

I have this too and i cant open my work its killing me at present, cant work off the windows laptop, however mobile and ipad work ok

Same here -- same problem.  This started when I purchased a new laptop, but I have my catalog on an external hard drive. Installed Lightroom Classic CC on the new laptop -- it certainly reads my catalog, but it won't allow me to sync with the cloud.
