Problem with latest Lightroom Classic update

I've used Lightroom CC for years with no problem. Today I tried to update Lightroom Classic and this is what I got-

Exit Code: 146

WARN: Unable to move file at "C:\adobeTemp\ETRFA34.tmp\1\Adobe Lightroom Classic CC\CRLogTransport.exe" to "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Lightroom Classic CC\CRLogTransport.exe" Error 5 Access is denied.. Try setting correct permissions to the specified file/folder or parent folder, so that admin has rights to modify it.

I uninstalled Lightroom and started from scratch and got the same message.  I'm dead in the water!!!

It won't help your problem I am sure, but I just did the same update on a Mac and it seems to work just fine. I guess you are on Windows...

You could try installing the update version on another PC. If the problem persists it's likely an update problem and they are going to deliver a patch (new update) within hours (days) I guess. If it works on another PC though, it must be a configuration issue on your problem PC because probably of a setting or software installed that conflicts with the new version. It happens all the time. The fact that it never happened in the past is no guarantee it won't happen in the future. It's like saying, I'm 50 and never had cancer before, meaning I'm not gonna have any cancer ever... Sorry, bad example, but you get the point. I wish you were right in your thinking but I am afraid one can never say that. I got two highly spec'd Mac boxes and Netflix will play on one under Safari but not on the other. In both boxes Netflix plays perfect under Chrome. Go figure...

The error messages says it's a permissions problem. Recheck all your drives/folders for all rights. Sometimes an OS update changes permissions.
