Provide a Keyboard Shortcut to Stack Photos in Develop Mode.

Why is it not possible to stack photos in Develop mode?

Total waste of time and pain to have to go to the libarry to do this.  Feel that seperating out these functions is not very ergonomic or useful.  Certain funticons should be avbilable in Develop as that's wehre 90% of the action takes place.

Why have i been moved here?  I'm talking about being in Develop mode.  No stacking there.

There are lots of things you can only do in the Library module and not the Develop module. That is the nature of a modular system.

How does that comment help?  You are just pointing out facts.  Clearly i know and understand that, hence my question.  My point is why?   When most things are done in the develop mode, why would stacking images need to be in library as it makes no sense and add an extra stage.

Hi,

You can do it. You just have to work from a single folder or All Photos.

Select some pictures in the film strip and right click one of them.

Choose Stacking > Group into stack

it does, thanks Rick.  Just wish it'd use the same shortcut.  Also given me an idea, i wonder if i can set the shortcut  in settings to work the stacking.

Ahh.. OK. So you want the keyboard shortcut of ⌘-G to work in Develop! Looks like it conflicts with the shortcut for Toggle Generative Remove. Dang...

I could move your post back to Ideas and change the title to reflect your feature request if you like.

That is the problem.  It feels like Adobe had a plan but didn't quite think it through.

That would be very useful Rick.  It would be so handy to have a cmd+g for those images at an evetn where one person is doing something daft and in the next image it's good so i can swap heads in photoshop.

So i've gone back into develop and right clicked but that's still an extra step, i've got a shortcut for this which only seems to show in Library.  Belive it or not it's quicker to do the shortcut to Library and then my shortcut for stacking than doing a right mouse click.

Ideas, (feature requests), are tracked by upvotes. (it's the box with the number and arrow next to the post title in case you weren't aware).
