Purpose of these Temp files?

Could anyone enlighten me as to the purpose for all these files on my C:drive in an {adobeTemp} folder?

According to Adobe Employee Akash Sharma, the C:\adobeTemp folder contains temporary files created by the Creative Cloud app and other Adobe applications when downloading updates, and it can be safely deleted:
