I store all my photo files on a detached Drobo hard drive. I got a new faster computer and downloaded my Lightroom 6 and connected it to my detached hard drive where all my photo files are stored. However, Lightroom on my new computer doesn't have or can't recognize all my Lightroom libraries or collections and has no record of the editing I performed on my saved photos.
Is there a way I can import my old libraries, collections, and editing history from my files on my detached hard drive into my new computer's Lightroom program?
Hi John,
By default, all your edits are stored in Lightroom's Catalog file (the name of the file ends with the suffix .lrcat)
You'll to copy the .lrcat file from the old computer onto the new computer, and open it in lightroom (by either double clicking the .lrcat, or by choosing File > Open Catalog in Lightroom).
