Hi. I've been noticing for a while now that "reference" view colour is not accurate to "active" colour. For example, I can have the same photo in both reference and active, and the colour temperature for reference is slightly warmer. I've confirmed my monitor is not the issue, and have replicated the issue on several different monitors. Can you offer any guidance about this?
I've attached a screen shot as an example. This is the same photo on both sides, and you'll note the reference side colour is slightly different.

HI - you are in the develop moddule, correct? I just tried several images in my LR 11.01 on Mac OS 10.15.7 and they look identical.
WHich OS version and which LR version are you using?

The appear the same to me but this isn't a great image for seeing color differences.
You must be in Develop module to accurately view your image data, and at 1:1 zoom or greater.
You might try downloading a color reference image and importing, then provide another screen capture. Something like http://www.digitaldog.net/files/2014PrinterTestFileFlat.tif.zip

I brought your screenshot inside PS and used the eydropper tool to measure a number of areas in the photo. The Reference and Active images are identical. The white balance in the gray building and bride's dress is perfect!
One possible cause is a slight difference in your right and left eye color balance. Try looking at a plain white image on your screen and then close and open your right and left eyes. My left eye shows a perfect white screen as slightly yellow compared to the right eye, which appears neutral. The brain usually sorts this out but the Reference view with the same image on the right and left sides of the screen may make it more noticeable.
