Been using LR since V1 and use collections extensively for managing images through my workflow.
Just noticed a problem with LR Classic (only since the new version): when I select an image from a collection, highlight it, then press delete (or "Remove from Colllection") that image is NOT removed, but the FIRST image in that collection is removed instead.
Really annoying as I can no longer use this to manage my workflow!
Stephen.

Update: thought I'd try reordering the images using Custom Order, placed the image I wanted to remove at the start, and the image which was erroneously being removed at the end. It still removed the wrong image.
Also, when I select a number of images, press 7 to change the colour tag to yellow, only the first image has the colour tag changed.
(In Grid mode just in case this wasn't clear).

Are you selecting the image in the Grid view area or in the film strip area?

Just tested this on my system and it is working properly.
I'm in Grid view, select images in the grid view area then right click and select remove from collection.
