RESET MY IMAC back to factory settings. LRCAT won't import!!!!

Before i reset the computer I saved all pic and LRCAT files on an external.. I reinstalled LR6 after reset was complete but now when I go to import catalogue, the catalogue i want isn't highlighted so therefore I can't retrieve all my metadata... Any Ideas???

Hi adamangkeona,

If you saved your .lrcat file along with the pictures, you should be able to open that catalog directly. User File > Open Catalog (not Import Catalog) and browse to that catalog and open it.

You may need to reconnect your images, if the catalog things they are on your internal hard drive. If so, refer to this article:

As a result of the above steps, your catalog and photos will live on the external drive and will be portable. If you
