I'm quite confused about shortcuts on the german version of Lightroom. I have always been able to use use CMD + , or CMD + . on my Mac to rotate images. Both don't work anymore, while CMD + . does nothing CMD + , opens the Settings panel of Lightroom.
And even more confusing: when I check in the Menubar for the shortcuts it says CMD + < and CMD + # for rotating now - but only # works sometimes, < does never.
Anyone else having the same problems.
Please see this bug report: Lightroom Classic CC: Keyboard shorcuts for rotate left and right changed incorrectly in German, Spanish, French, Italia⦠. If you click Me Too and Follow in the upper-right corner of the bug report, you'll make it a little more likely Adobe will prioritize a fix, and you'll be notified when the bug's status changes. There is a workaround in the bug report too.

It appears that LR 7.1 fixes this for German but not the other languages. I think you're in German, so let us know if it's been fixed.

Hi,
I just gave it a try. Rotate right works again (CMD + .), the rotate left shortcut does not even show up in the menu anymore.

Adobe tried to fix the rotate shortcuts in Library (but not in Develop), but the fix doesn't work. In which language are you running LR? Also, do Help > System Info and copy/paste the first ten lines here.

The shortcuts for rotate on an English keyboard are Cmd + [ and Cmd + ]. Do you have to hold down an additional function key on your keyboard to type [ and ]? That might be confusing LR. Is your keyboard layout one of these?
If not, perhaps post a phone pic of your keyboard layout.

Thanks, holding down Cmd + Option + Ćŗ / ) works. This is my keyboard layout. It's strange because in previous versions of Lightroom I didn't have to add the Option key to rotate the images. Anyway, thanks for help! š

You could change the assigned shortcuts by editing the TranslatedStrings file:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/custom-keyboard-shortcuts/
Edit these four lines:
"$$$/AgDevelopShortcuts/Rotate_left/Key=Command + ["
"$$$/AgDevelopShortcuts/Rotate_right/Key=Command + ]"
"$$$/AgLibrary/Menu/Photo/RotateLeft/Key=Cmd+["
"$$$/AgLibrary/Menu/Photo/RotateRight/Key=Cmd+]"
Here're the assigned shortcuts for other languages:
