TETHERED CAPTURE D700 L/ROOM 4 ISSUES

New Here ,

I would like to tether my D700 (f/ware A 1.04 B 1.03) to my MacBook Pro MAC OS SIERRA 10.12.3 via LIGHTROOM 4.  Everything I have read has said this should be possible BUT, on opening tethered shoot, Lightroom won't detect my camera.

There's lots of stuff on various forums but I can't find anything specific to D700/LROOM 4.

Please don't say purchase the latest version of Lightroom!

Any answers anybody?  Thanks in anticipation.

There are known problems with tethering using Lightroom versions previous to Lr 6.3 or so using Sierra.  As the older versions of Lightroom will not be fixed the only solution is to upgrade to Lightroom 6.  I was caused by changes APPLE made to the OS.
