text boxes in Lr CC book modeule

I am using Lr CC Book Module to create a large book and not finding it at all easy.

When I have been using a text/picture layout from the drop down options sometimes the text box appears with a small red square with a red cross inside it.

I have no idea what this means .

I need to know before I send my book to Blurb to be printed. Picture of it below.  Many thanks. Paul

Sorry that a red cross mark shows up below the text box in Book module of Lightroom Classic.

Which exact version of Lightroom Classic are you using?

The plus means that there is more text than the textbox can show. It wants you to drag from there to make the box bigger to reveal it. This is the same UI as in Illustrator, indesign, photoshop, etc. In this case it is probably an extra carriage return, so no extra text to show just blank lines.
