After updating to Lightroom Classic v14.0 today, the "Previous" button is not working properly. The details are as follows:

  1. In Develop mode, turn Caps Lock on.

  2. After finishing editing one picture, press 3 to set the rating to 3 stars, then automatically move to the next picture.

  3. At this point, clicking the "Previous" button should apply the previous settings to the current picture, but it doesn't.

Does anyone know how to fix this bug?   Thanks!

I think I have the same problem (also after updating to LRC 14.0).

1. Edit picture 1

2. Go to picture 2 and click "Previous" .  Nothing happens.

Work around:

3. Go back to picture 1.

4. Go back to picture 2.

5. Click "Previous" .  Now the settings from picture 1 are applied to picture 2.

Please fix this!!

Mac or Windows? The previous button works just as expected in Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on my Mac.

With the LRC 14.0/14.0.1 upgrade I also experienced issues with the "Remove" highlighting.  Rikk suggested resetting the preference file.  That fixed the "Remove" highlighting issue.  It also resolved the "Previous" issue!!!

From Rikk:

Reset your preferences file

This procedure works for both Lightroom Classic and Lightroom Desktop.

If you are using Lightroom Desktop, it can change your local storage location. Please review this setting after resetting preferences.

Reset Procedure:

  1. Close Lightroom.
  2. Hold down [Alt/Opt]+[Shift] while restarting Lightroom.
  3. Overwrite the Preferences when prompted by the dialog.
  4. Close Lightroom.
  5. Restart Lightroom.

Thanks. However, this procedure has worked only for two days, and then I found everything reverting back to the same issue. (I used Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on my macbook pro) Any additional longer lasting solution would be appreciated. Thanks.

Every since the last update to LrC, my "Previous" button doesn't work the first time I move from one image to another.    For example, I move from image A to image B and I click the Previous button, nothing happens.   Then I move back to image A and move to image B again then press "Previous" and the settings from image A are all correctly being applied.   This is doubling the time it takes to move from image to image.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

There are a few other reports (by Windows users) but I cannot reproduce this in Lightroom Classic 14.0.1 on my M1 Max Mac and MacOS 14.6.1. . Maybe it's related to using an Intel processor somehow?

As a workaround, does the menu command Settings > Paste Settings From Previous work?
