All of a sudden after updating LR a week ago Lightroom issues "Lightroom was unable to backup up the catalog named ...Please check your folder permissions and available disk space..." I've been using LR since LR 1 on different PCs under Windows and never had a problem with permissions, my hard disks have lots of space and besides I cannot backup to ANY other hard disk, internal or external.
My PC runs Windows 10, 32GB RAM and 4 x 1TB hard disks with enough free space. Any ideas? I'm really troubled with this error message, thaks,
Patrick.
Yep, that's a bug introduced with the latest update. See this thread for a fix: I can not back up any catalog in Lightroom 2015.8 | Photoshop Family Customer Community

Thanks for the tip Jim. Now my LR is back in order.

My two cents: If the .lua file is deleted then the file permission error returns... I'm using seven different catalogs just in case it could mean something. With the lua file in place backups proceed as usual.
