Unable to update

Hi everyone,

I am facing issues with updating my LRC/LR and PS. When I try to update I get an error message "Updates have been disabled for this machine. Please contact your administrator."

If I try to update in creative cloud it says everything is up to date. LRC installed is 13.1, but the latest one is 13.5

I searched but I only see drastic solutions to uninstall everything and then reinstall the latest version. This seems to be a bit of a hassle especially when you have to do this every single time an update is released.

Any words of wisom on the matter?

Thanks in advance

Roy

1. Launch Finder and go to this location: \Library\Application Support\Adobe\AAMUpdaterinventory\1.0

Not a MAC owner any longer, so I cannot simply bring my MAC up and test. But are you looking at the correct Library Folder? If I remember correctly their is at least 2. One a System, the other a User folder.

see:

2. Otherwise

This Computer is it:

  • Your property?
  • The property of a School?
  • The Property of a Business?
  • The property of a Government Institution?

If it is your property, is it:

  • On your  own network at home
  • On the network at a School, Business or Government Institution

Point of the above is to determine if this computers security is controlled by an Information Technology Department. If so, contact them. If it is all your own, then contact Adobe. Perhaps the Adobe Techs can help.

It's fixed! I found this tip which showed the updater folder in system instead of user.

Sometimes , it will be confusing that Mac has 2 Libraries.

One is System Library and the other is User Library.  Check whether checking under System Library.

User Library:

1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To Folder" option.
  2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( " Note: Do not miss ~ symbol " )

~/library

It will open User Library folder.

3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe

System Library:

1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-To" F
