uninstall/reinstall Lightroom Classic

Community Beginner ,
Dec 16, 2017 Dec 16, 2017

My 3rd time looking for help in the Forum...

In Slideshow, every time I try to preview, play, or export to video, Lightroom crashes.

I think it is time to uninstall and reinstall.  What is the best way to do it?

I am on a Windows machine and subscribe to PPP.

Thanks...

In the Adobe Creative Cloud application, click on the down arrow to the left of Lightroom Classic CC, select uninstall.

Before you do that, you might want to try each of these:

Thank you so much for responding!

I had already restored the default Preferences and turned off GPU acceleration.

I uninstalled as you said, then installed.  I chose 2015 since I have been having so much trouble with Classic.  Now I can't open the ircat file that contains my Slideshow...message said it is too new to be used by the 2015 version.

So I guess I need to go back and uninstall 2015 and reinstall Classic.  I sure hope Classic will work for me this time...my slideshow is very important to me!

Thanks!

LR 2015 will not open a catalog created by later versions of LR Classic CC. Your slide show information is contained in the catalog of the version of LR that you uninstalled.

You need to install and use the version of LR that you used to create the catalog and slideshow.

Help, please! I have the same issue with Mac O/S MacBook Pro (mid-2012).

What "issue"? Explain from the beginning. Give us details. Please be sure to state your operating system version NUMBER and the version NUMBER of your Lightroom (we need the veersion NUMBER and not words like "up-to-date" or "current")

Have you tried the suggestions above?
