Lightroom classic was freezing after opening the import window. After waiting for several minutes, import is posible. Last workaround was resetting preferences, but LrC still freeze in import window.
Tried this.
New catalog file, still freeze
Tired Optimize, still freze
Updated GPU driver, still freeze
New card reader, still freeze
Updated Windows, still freeze
Resetting preferences, still freeze

Hi @Palma37054105wwds, welcome to the community!
Could you try updating to the latest version of Lightroom Classic (15.0) and see if that improves performance?
Also, are you importing photos from an external hard drive or an SD card reader? If so, could you try unplugging them for a moment and check if the freezing still happens?
Thanks so much!
Alek

Thanks a lot. I am aware that the embedded System Infor show LrC 14.5.1, but I also tried version 15.0 with the same result. To be absolutely sure, I updated today, and the import window freezes shortly after opening it.

Are you trying to import photos only, or some photos and some videos?

This is an integrated GPU – UHD Graphics.
LrC doesn't work well with multiple GPUs, so try to disable it.
Go to Control Panel > Device manager > Display adapters.
Right click the UHD graphics and choose Disable from the context menu.

Skal jeg sette den på automatisk igjen?

@Per Berntsen, no. Nvidia RTX 3060 is a dedicated graphics card from Nvidia, that works well with Lightroom Classic, especially with the AI features in LrC. The latest studiodriver, released October 14. 2025 is installed on this system. It works well in Develop.
My reply is on behalf of @Palma37054105wwds , and I have been on her pc.

The screenshot I posted was meant to show how to disable a display adapter.
It was taken on my computer, and I don't have a UHD graphics.
Also, @Palma37054105wwds has an RTX 3070, not 3060.
I do understand that the screenshot might be misleading if viewed out of context, but I did write "Right click the UHD graphics and choose Disable from the context menu."
