I am confused about the name Lightroom Classic CC. I thought there were two versions:
But in many cases people also refer to Lightroom Classic CC, and when searching the support pages, I find a check box for "Adobe Lightroom Classic" under the category "Creative Cloud".
What is the actual different between those "three"?
Yes it is confusing, the names have changed over the years.
This may help.

While Your answer may have been correct at the time, but may have changed since your answer, I just want to update for others to know.
Today I was about to chat with Adobe, I wondered why the chat gave showed me buttons for selecting between "Lighrtoom Classic" and "Lightroon CC".
I therefore asked the agent an additional question about the currect definition of the Cloud based Lightroom, and he answered that it is (currently) called Lightroom CC.
