What should I do with a second Lightroom Ircat file that showed up on my desktop?

I recently noticed a second Lightroom Ircat folder on my desktop.  I am using a Mac, and have the program on my computer. I still have the original Ircat folder in my pictures folder. 

They both seam to be the same.  They both contain my most recent files and edits.

I know this is not a good thing, and am wondering how I should handle this.

The catalog does not contain the files. Somehow a copy of the catalog was created on the desktop. If you are sure you don't need that copy you can just delete it.
