Even it is very questionable to keep competitors out, it is no surprise, Lr Classic does not show .afphoto files. But: Why are .psb (large document format) files not displayed by Lightroom Classic? I definitely do not understand it?

Why? Because they didn’t add that option. This is a user-to-user forum. For feature requests, go to https://feedback.photoshop.com. Search for your feature request first. If it is already requested by someone else, then don't create a new thread but add your vote to the existing request.

No, I would have to search for it, just like you. Try searching for 'Lightroom PSB'.

PS: Adobe is clearly missing a proper centralised feedback system. Sometimes you should ask the user forum, sometimes the feedback site. Fifty-Fifty. And I can handle it, to post first always to the false place. Serif (Affinity Photo) is way more user friendly and compliant. Where as Adobe suggest to me kinda "help, a customer is asking something, where can I hide to avoid answering" mentality. I am since ever convinced, Adobe and Apple celebrating worst customer awareness ever. Point.
