I have a similar problem. Generative Expand is by far to restrictive. Totally unusable. I have a non nude model in the image and simply try to expand the forest scene around her, result: You must pay for something that doesn't work 🤬. That's typical for scam company Adobe. The best: even if you can't use the result, it drops your credits of 250 free Generative Fill/Expand. 🤬 Even if you have nude models in it, that's not of Adobe's business. It also reveals, that Adobe is clearly spying on your images. 🤬

Can you please make a DNG from your CL available? That would be great. It's sufficient it it's an image of a plain wall. - I assume the profiles are idetical all over the Leica mirrorless brands except for the M possibly. It worth a try. 1000 thanks in advance.

Nothing on Mac. Since 201x - can't remember when the M10 was released. I addressed directly the Leica Support in Wetzlar, to me it seems the even didn't understand the issue. It's ridiculous only Leica has that problem. All other brands export all in body profiles into their raw files.

I have the same problem. Can someone please post a link where to download the profiles at Leica? I asked the Support in Wetzlar (I'm native German speaker), they even didn't understand the problem. It's ridiculous, the profiles are missing in the DNGs. All other brands export also the in body profiles in their raw files. I am asking for this since the M10 became available.

1. Starting in Bridge, sending to ACR, using Eraser tool 2. using Generative AI, brush size 3 3. straight line drawn by Shift+click Powerlines, specially across canapes of forest and bushes result in a blurry error. 4. Can't upload the NEF from the D850 (47 Megapixel). That 47 MB limit is quite a bad idea if you want customers to upload todays raw files from cameras having > 45 megapixel images. Error message see attachment. Who the heck makes such idiot decisions at Adobe? Fire that person.

To be honest, this is a ridiculous workflow and it must be able to set the external editor in the settings, like it is possible in LrC or Bridge. - But no, this is of course not possible. Well, we all know that Adobe likes to abuse its paying customers as alpha and beta testers. The 10th Ferengi Rule of Acquisition well adapted: Greed is eternal. Besides, Adone Lightroom is kinda nothing else as a slower version of Bridge in new UI design having ACR integrated - done by sacrificing performance.

In earlier Bride versions there was a checkbox to disable the necessity of pressing Cmd+[key] and getting rid of that additional command. Please see attached screen shot, in earlier version there was a checkbox to disable the necessity of pressing Cmd. Is there a possibility to permanently activate that star rating and colour label are permanently also show in full screen view (that what you get after pressing the space bar)? When will we get a more modern and faster importer with the possibility to sort and group by date, similar to that one in LrC? Missing since years: a filter to switch between displaying of images/videos/images+videos in the importer, all of them, Bride, LrC , Lr. Appreciate any reply.

Is that a Lightroom problem? Lr, not LrC. In LrC and Bridge I can literally edit almost all metadata. Where are they in Lr? Tried to find them for half an hour, giving up. The Help menu item also shows zero results if you type "meta" (*) To Adobe: Since Lr can also edit local files, I gave it a chance. Well, I'm back to LrC. Lr Looks like a crippled Bridge having some ACR functionality, but has max. only 1/10 or so of the functionality of LrC or Bridge/ACR. (*) To all Windows users: on OSX and MacOS all apps have a "Help" menu item containing also an editable field. Typing a fraction of that what you're looking for, it shows you directly the corresponding menu positions. The last time when I was working with Windows (2005 or so), such a feature wasn't available in that OS.

Hi @john beardsworth , that's a controvers discussion. During one of that Adobe shows/events in 2017 or 2018 (can't remember the year), Aaron Nace (Phlearn) edited in TIFF and got advice that PSD is better from the Adobe guy sitting next to him. Can't find the video on YouTube, too long ago, but I can remember quite exactly because until this day I was also using TIFF, but switched then to PSD. In the Lightroom preferences I couldn't find a possibility to change it, there is no "External Editing" tab. In LrC, you can - PSD no longer opened in Ps recommended - add LrC tweakings also to the PSD file. Lr looks kinda crippled Bridge.

As far as I can reproduce it, since LrC 13.x HDR, Panorama and HDR Panorama mergers result in Lossy Compressed DNGs. That's a total no go.
Dear Adobe, please revert this instanly by an over night fix or give us at least an easy to find checkbox in the settings to decide that by ourselves.
We don't need Adobe making that kind of decisions for us creatives, that's anti creative.

Quick usage looks awesome. BUT I would prefer another workflow, first mask, then apply blur. The current implementation with the Focus and Blur brush is extremly lagging, it is even not possible to finish a brush stroke without getting Mac OSs' busy beachball. That makes the usage of the blur tool when refining (what is despite of AI always necessary) extremly inconcenient. - I'd supplied the developpers with an original image, but unfortunately RAW/NEF Files are - for no reason that makes sense - not allowed to upload. The mask of the blur tool can not be used in the Masking tool. This shoudn't be separated. Besides, concerning the Masking tool: Unfortunately it is still not possible to intersect between e.g. Mask1 and Mask2. Intersection is only possible between the submasks of e.g. Mask1. Best regards, Roland

I'm in LrC, so it's primary the database I rely to. Even if I use my computers all with English language settings (except for the keyboard, but that's another story and concerns Ps), Creative Cloud installed all apps first in German and even after manually switching to English (in LrC settings), the labelling sticks fixed to Rot/Gelb/Grün/Blau/Lila - the German version of Red/Yellow/Green/Blue/Purple. - As nice the A.I. functions are, if it comes to the basics, Adobe's software is incredibly ridiculous bad programmed, no word exists for it. If you sell overpriced multi language software, this must be correctly covered by the software itself - that is covered by the course "software developpment 101". It can't be covered by XMP is kinda logical, there values should be integer indexes instead of plain text, those matched by the language settings of LrC/Bridge/Ps/etc. to the corresponding plain text value. That's also covered by the course "Software Development for Beginners 101". So, I had to make my own preset to have the label colors back correctly. But that doesn't solve the problem as soon you collaborate in projects internationally and you exchange data Bridge/XMP based. ☹️ If I would be in lead of the Adobe software development, errors like that wouldn't exists. And yes, it's an error, software design error, not bugs. A bug is something like an accident happened. But that is basically worst software development style ever. Not sticking to any basic development rules. I developped software between 1986 to 1999 (BIOS add ons for mouse and menus for international used DOS software plus the mathematical part, prior to a usable Windows version, later for Windows 3.x, first in with Turbo Pascal and later with Borland Pascal), when the engineers still were in lead of the project milestones. Never ever back then, we would have been releasing software having such trivial design errors causing those gigantic follow up problems. Nowadays, the milestones and decisions are made by clueless pea counters in suits and that's the problem. But that's a problem everywhere - not only at Adobe and other software companies - and the reason why the planet is going down the drain. Cheers

@gregreser Hooray, switching that deleted/reset all color labeling of the whole catalog (150k images). Thanks you so much for your inexistent warning. I have still no clue, why this ever was different. The XMP issue is a thing to be solved by the developers in the software itself. PS: I have no clue why, but I can't reply directly to your anser containing the advice in screen shot attached

Would be cool, if the subject could be masked. For your convenience, I provide a NEF. Subject is the church of course. Copyright: © Roland Rick, Liechtenstein. Rights usage term: All rights reserved. Adobe may use it for development purposes. OK: the system here isn't accepting NEF (26 MB), so please have a JPG instead, will try NEF to DNG converted also. OK 2: DNG (26 MB) also can't be uploaded as file of 47 MB, 16 bit PNG or compressed TIFF are about 106 MB, that's more as allowed max. file size. So, I stick to JPG. Honestly: Adobe could make it easier to users, helping to supporting Adobe, pleae make RAW file upload possible. It's anyway ridiculous RAW isn't possible.

Hi guys, reading the What's new popping up, I expected that to be better as in older versions but it isn't. In media res: Can I activated that to be shown permanently? Couldn't find anything in the Bride settings. If there is a shortcut, why it isn't mentioned? If there is no star rating, colour labels are randomly shown in fullscreen Colour labels of LrC and Bridge still do not match. That's an issues I never understood. Instead of having values "behind the scenes" colour lables are by default in LrC Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, whereas in Bridge they are by default called Rejected, Review, Approved, Second, To Do. They are used literally, so if you work in LrC and Bridge as I do, that never matches. - The problem: they only can be changed in the Bridge settings but nowhere in LrC. Changing them in the Bridge settings is NO GO, because Bridge is used to exchange edits professionally international, that would be a disaster. As good the AI functions are, if it comes to trivial stuff, I always think at Adobe the left hand doesn't know what the right one is doing (that's a saying in German). I developed software for 35 years, normally you use a constant index value for stuff like that, e.g. 6,7,8,9,10 for that and relate it to a free naming in the user intreface. Not so at Adobe, there is the plain text literally used. The problems advance if you go international, in German e.g. Rejected is Abgelehnt. The next mess ahead. Also in LrC, where Red is Rot in German or Yellow is Geld. That never matches. This is just ultra bad style of software development and causes a lot of problem not existing if the developers would ever have been working properly. The performance is again incredibly bad with the current 2024 versions. I'm usindg an MBA M1 fully equipped, it has at least felt 10 x more performance as my prior Mac, a max. equipped 2019 Intel MBP16. Except for Adobe software, everything else such as Affinity Photo, Capture 1, FCP, DaVinci Resolve travel at Warp 8. In comparison, Adobe Software doesn't even touch 0.000001% speed of light. OK, guys, that's sufficient of daily dose of rant 😉 I wish you merry stuff fixing. Have a nice one, Roland

OK OK, as said, just asking. Had no real intention to offend you. I'm just super annoyed of Adobe, ripping off the people by that behated subscription system. For that, they should - must - run a professional helping platform where it's possible to report bugs directly to a mail address like eg. support@adobe.com, the dispatching should then done by a first front line of experts. Here in the community I never ever got one single problem/bug I discovered fixed. And I posted a lot of them. For your convenience: I have been working for 25 years as software developer my own and have a talent to stumble over a software bugs as easy as breathing is for others. That makes the "community help system" to me 10 x as annoying as for normal users. But no, the probem is shifted to the customer. It shouldn't be necessary to reset preferences, that's treatment of symptoms on the shoulders of the customer not removing the cause. A very bad deal for the customers. I tried the solution you suggested also, didn't help. But I lost all my preferences dispite of exactly following the instructions in the links of you solution and couldn't recover it. I had to configure everything from the scratch.

I'm always asking myself: Can Adobe's worst ever reputation for having no reliable software could even get worse? For sure they are working on it 😕 It's of course nice to have all this A.I. tools, specially in LrC, but hey, please make the basic functions work. Currently (Ps v 24.4.1) the adjustment layers, specially the Curves are jerky, lagging, super slow, unusable. At least on an M1 MBA, 8 Core, 16 GB RAM. With FCP or DaVinci Resolve I can edit on that MBA super performant 4K-DCI 50 fps videos, they are rendered in an instant, on Photoshop, the Curves adjustment layer is currently unusable 🙈. Worst of all the bad design of the homepage: it's even not possible to directly access my postings in the Adobe Support Community after logging into my account, there is nowhere a button or function for accessing them directly. It always takes me 15 minutes until I find my contributions. I am pretty sure Adobe does that intentionally for avoiding any contact with those unconvienient customers, it's sufficient for Adobe to rip them off. CC: @CShubert , please watch the video attached.

Hi Cory, thanks for reply. I would have been attaching the .psd here, but it has 152 MB and that's to big to upload here. So, I uploaded it to my Google drive there it should be possible to download, for analysis purposes only, © 2023 by Roland Rick, Liechtenstein. Click here for download. Thanks for your hint, but honestly, I don't want to reset anything, that's a felony alike shifting back the problem to the customer, insted of solving the performance problems Photoshop has since ever, specially on Macs. FYC: I already did that reset thing once, it had no effect. And I won't repeat it, because doing so, you are losing all settings and never can restore them as they were. Well, that since ever is possibly an exaggeration, performance problems started in the early 2000's when Adobe once decided to no longer support OSX but only Windows. A misdecision which was dropped later. But retaining a bad thing for all Mac users: performance never again catched up with Windows and Premiere is still permanet crashing and unusable on Macs. Well, I'm working with FCP and DaVinci Resolve Studio anyway, which are 100 x faster and never crash. Adobe still doesn't get it: The Mac is the computer for creative people. It does everything that includes coming with calibrated displays (AdobeRGB or P3) etc., you have to spend a fortune on hardware until you have a Windows computer at the same quality level. Photoshop must run performantly also with my preferences and settings, shoudln't it? It's expensive enough, e.g. 10 yrs Photoshop and Lr subscription only are about whopping CHF (or USD) 1500, so I expect such a software to run performantly and not at snail speed, almost impossible to use it. Using my preferences and setting. Adobe: just another word for rip-off. :((((( It's really not funny.

Bug in Photoshop concerning adjustment layers, Photoshop v 24.4.1, Macbook Air M1, 8 core, 16 GB ram, sufficient free SSD space.
It's not the first time, Photoshop gets slow after updates. It got again comulative worse since v 22 or so.
Draging the points on the curve adjustment layer is almost impossible. Jerky and laggy, slow, slow, slow, unusable. The image is not so big, 16 bit ProPhotoRGB loaded, but cropped from a 24 megapixel camera.
