I recently upgraded my computer to more ram and a SSD drive. It's not a blazer, but worked fine other than being a bit slow.
Since doing this, Lightroom will not startup after closing it once. I have to open task manger then end task, then it will start. Sometimes, but not every time, if I switch to another catalog, it will not re-open.
I even took the new drive and ram out and installed the old memory and drive and it still does the same thing, never had this issue before.
I have done a clean install of windows and lightroom 4 times now and every time I have this same issue. I am also having issues importing photos, but it's random, some will import fine some it will just sit and do nothing, I even let it sit overnight, nothing.
I tried installing a GT1030 GPU, (this is an older pc) no difference
I never had these issues so I'm at a loss of what happened here. Really need some help.
Windows 10 pro, 2tb SSD, 32gb ram, i5-3470.

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut out as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs and it takes up vast amounts of scroll space making the reply less readable and less likely that others will bother with your post. Also large amounts of text in a post also render the Translate function inoperable.

Here is what I see after the program has closed. Until I end the task, LR will not be able startup again...

Nothing stands out in your sys info as abnormal. And not my hunch involving library path.

How are you closing LrC? Yes I know a silly question, but how.
Hopefully, I click on File, I click on Close, I click on yes I want to close. /edit/ also the close button top right/
Hopefully not, I right click on the icon in the taskbar and tell LrC to close (force quit)

I use the close button at top right mostly. When I refer to End Task, that is after I have properly closed lightroom and try to open it again. When it will not open, I check task manager and see that it is in memory. I have to end the task to be able to open it again. I have waited for up to an hour for it to unload out of memory on it's own, it never will.

When you have LrC up and running, is any sync to/from the cloud running? If it is, and you pause/end that, does close/open if LrC behave?
If you create a new catalog and use it as a test, does this issue go away?
