Z6 unable to import photos from camera

Hello, so I have my brand new z6 and want to be able to import raw files, but i get an error message CANNOT BE OPENED BY LIGHTROOM.  Jpegs import file.  So other then shooting JPEG is there a solution?  My camera has the latest firmware and  Lightroom release 8.  Also I am not  technical so please just straight forward responses.

Wait for the next update to Lightroom.

Or if you can't wait, use the free Adobe Digital Negative Converter  to convert the raw files to DNGs which LR can import.

Hi John thanks for the tip, I just tried it and works !  I'll wait for the Lightroom Update which I hope comes soon !

Sometimes you get lucky with new cameras and LR updates, sometimes not. The Z7 was supported almost immediately, but I don't think you'll be waiting too long.
