Right now when you export metadata you can include ALL metadata with the exported images or leave some things out but on a very basic level. It would be much more useful to select exactly which fields you want to stay and which don't of all the possible IPTC metadata . Just create an Export IPTC preference (caption, keywords, copyright and city for example) and ONLY this is exported while all other fields are left blank.
Right now this level of micro control is not possible and should be quite easy to implement and make the software much more useful in this regards and not have to resort to other programs that have this function.
