P: Use iPad as an external input device on LrC

Salut!

I am a Apple enviroment user. I would like to use my Ipad insted of a loupedeck (external device). The Ipad is already synced with my macbook. I need all the controls available on Ipad.  I know it is more of a business decision because it will trash a few loupedeck devices but it would be very usefull for a lot of users.  I am 100% sure that if you dont do it , it will probably come on the market as an app.

Have a great day!

Dan

Some additional information:

Over the years, there have been at least a couple plugins and Ipad apps for using an Ipad as a LR controller. They never seem to have caught on. LRPAD is a very old one, not sure it works any more. Another is Control Room for Lightroom, which has a single review from earlier this year.

This thread describes using a widely used IOS app Touch OSC as a virtual MIDI controller, connected to LR by the very widely used free plugin MIDI2LR, which many people use to connect physical MIDI controllers to LR:

This may take a little more effort to set up initially but sounds like the most stable and flexible in the long term.
