Allow duplicate images

LR Mobile App (Android): allow duplication of images. I like to put filters on my images but also like to keep a copy of the original. I can do it on the desktop version, but can't in mobile. 

If this is already an option, then my suggestion is to make it more obvious because I can't figure it out without reuploading the original image

You do not need to re-upload images!.  Lightroom can store a separate set of editing instructions for the one master file (in Cloud storage) ie "Versions".
