Broken video thumbnail in Photo Grid view

Videos have often broken thumbnails in Photo Grid view (just blac square, artifacts, incomplete...)

Interestringly the same videos have correct thumbnails in Square grid view:

I think I found a solution ...
Select the broken videos, rightclick and choose "Develop Settings" - "Reset"
worked for me and my grading etc. didn't suffer
