What exact version of Lightroom, Android device, and the operating system are you working on?
Does this happen after a series of steps, or have you installed Lightroom for this device for the first time?
Log on to Lightroom Web (https://adobe.ly/3xdotLH) and check for all the images synced and uploaded to the cloud. Once everything is backed up to the cloud, try reinstalling Lightroom from the Play Store, and let me know how it goes.
