Yes, they would do the same thing. The one in LR is probably significantly better though. But their purpose is the same.

Thanks that's helpful.

I guess what I'm trying to answer for myself is

- if I had only Elements, could I end up saying "If only I had the better DeHaze facility in Lightroom" ... or is the difference (if indeed any) not worth even thinking about?

Really depends on your usage or priorities.

If Dehazing is a main part of your workflow you will likely want Lightroom. Keep in mind that Lightroom and PS Elements are two different applications for two different uses.

Hi and thankyou again.

Yes that’s a difficult one. I do understand that the two applications are different, but overlap.

For my needs as an amateur I believe Elements will likely cover all I will want to do.

I know that the Dehaze facility has the potential to reach into past photos that never quite worked and transform them.

If the LR version was so much more effective then this alone could be the reason for me to have it alongside Elements).

So the question I think is still out there is – “Is it more effective, and if so by how much?”

Has anyone done a side by side comparison?

Thanks!
