Deleting specific images from Lightroom Cloud

Community Beginner ,
Oct 30, 2023 Oct 30, 2023

While on holiday i uploaded all images to Lightroom Cloud.  Now i'm home, i've loaded all images to Lightroom Classic on my PC and want to delete the images from Lightroom Cloud.  The only options seems to be to delete the whole library on Lightroom Cloud.  Is it possible to select and delete individual images or groups of images from the Cloud library?

alternatively, if i delete the whole library, will the images i want to keep (including pre-holiday images) replicate to Lightroom cloud when I sync my Lightroom Classic collections?

It transpires that the answer is to select photographs individually or in groups and deleting them.  Photos are selected by hovering over the top right corner to unveil the selection box.  Multiple images can be selected by choosing the first image, holding shift and selecting the last image to be deleted.  A tool bar with multipe actions is displayed once one or more images have been selected, including a delete button.  Deleted images are moved to a 'deleted' folder and can be restored within

You can filter images by date and select all of a specific day.

You say you 'loaded' the images to Lightroom Classic. How did you do that? If you have synced your Lightroom Classic catalog and so the images were automatically downloaded, then the way to remove selected images from the cloud is to select them in Lightroom Classic and remove them from the 'All Synced Photographs' collection. That will delete the images from the cloud, but not from Lightroom Classic.

Hi Johan.  While away i borrowed a machine to load my images to the Cloud to serve as a back up.  I've now loaded my images into my own PC on LrC without syncing the catalogue and would like to remove the Cloud copies before I do.

Even you didn't sync them with Lightroom Classic, then the only way to delete them is by using Lightroom (cloud) or Lightroom web.
