Drone photo to orthophoto

New Here ,
Feb 14, 2022 Feb 14, 2022

Hello

Someone took some drone pictures for me of a terrain.

Id like to use one of those pictures to take some measures, so, im guessing that if the shoot was taken perpendicular to the terrain and i know the height of the shoot and the size of the lens i could use precisely use the "distort" function in Lightroom to convert it into an orthophoto, but, he is a friend of my ex and as you can imagine i cant ask him for more information, so:

1. I dont know the lens of his drone, neither the model or anything.

2. I dont know the height of the shoot

3. Even if i knew the height of the shoot i dont know whats the relation to the distort function in Lightroom.

So, the questions are ...

1. do you know if there is a relation of distortion to the distance and size/type of lens of the shoot?

2. do i have a chance to make a precise transformation of a shoot like that with this lack of information?

I know you guys know everything, so, thank you in advance.

C.
