Hey RPD_123,

Thanks for reaching out. We are here to help.

To open a raw file in Photoshop from Lightroom Desktop on macOS, follow these steps:

  1. Open Lightroom Desktop and select the photo you want to edit.
  2. Go to the top menu and select Photo > Edit In > Edit in Adobe Photoshop.
  3. If prompted, choose whether to edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments or the original file.
  4. Click Edit to open the selected raw file in Photoshop.
  5. After making your edits in Photoshop, save the file. The edited photo will automatically be added back to your Lightroom catalog with -Edit appended to the filename.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Shivani

These look like steps for Lightroom Classic.  NOT for Desktop (Cloud)

TBMK From Lightroom-Desktop  Edit In > Edit in Adobe Photoshop will always (directly) open the image in photoshop as TIFF. I never see options "edit a copy with Lightroom adjustments or the original file" when I [Edit In Adobe Photoshop] - Those options sound like they refer to Lightroom-Classic.

Instead you could [Share...] as 'Original + Settings'  (ie. the raw file ) to your computer, then in Mac Finder [Open] the file in Photoshop. This will open a raw file in ACR (The 'Settings' -any edits done in Lr- will render in ACR!) before it renders/opens to Photoshop. After Ps edits you would need to [Add/ import] the new Ps file into Lightroom.)

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 14.1.1, Photoshop 26.2, ACR 17.1, Lightroom 8.1, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 15.0.2, Windows-11.

Thanks.  As the previous post steps are for Lightroom Classic and not Desktop, I haven't seen a solution.  I've been trying to move more from Classic to Desktop, but I dunno.
