I just lost all my photos

I recently faced a distressing situation while transferring my Adobe account from the UK to Singapore.

Initially, I had a 20GB Photographer Plan in the UK, and I set up a new 1TB Lightroom Plan in Singapore. Adobe support assisted me in migrating my photos to the new Singapore account.

I verified through Lightroom's web platform that all my UK account photos were deleted and confirmed that they were successfully transferred to my Singapore account by logging into Lightroom app on my laptop (laptop A).

The problem arose when I attempted to switch accounts from the UK to Singapore on another laptop (laptop B). Due to the 20GB limit of my UK account, some photos were stored locally on laptop B. I exported these local photos to a hard disk and then tried to delete all photos from the UK account and resume syncing, expecting to see an empty folder. However, the process was taking too long, so I closed the Lightroom application and uninstalled it. I didn’t pay much attention to the specific actions I took during the process, believing they wouldn’t have any significant impact anyway, because they are all in UK account.

After installing Lightroom again and logging into my Singapore account, I discovered, to my horror, that there were no photos to sync down. In a panic, I opened Lightroom on laptop A, only to witness all my photos in the Singapore account disappear one by one right in front of my eyes.

Despite contacting Adobe support, they insisted that syncing between accounts isn't possible. I understand their explanation, but it contradicts what I experienced.

Losing 20GB of photos is more than just data loss; it's losing precious memories. I am deeply saddened by this incident and hope Adobe can resolve this issue to prevent future occurrences for others.

!!! I am SO HAPPY that adobe support helped me to recover all my photos from cloud !!!

Although those photos are in a weird TIFF with RAW JPG embedded format, but I can use `exiftool` to fix that.

This bug report is still valid but just would like to share the joy of mine atm~~~
