iPhone Photo Import into Lightroom App hangs up

Hello

I run LR App for iOS 7.3.0 on an iPhone 12 Pro with iOS 15.4.1. I am syncing the app with LR Classic on my desktop PC. Importing all new photos taken works flawlessly with the Auto-Import function.

However, importing my old photos (>20,000) is very cumbersome. I would like to have them all in LR. If I choose "Add Photos" and select all the process of importing starts, but either hangs up before first file is imported or hangs up somewhere in the process. I've tried this several times now. On top, importing is extremely slow (<10 photos/min). Connectivity is perfect and uploading the photos works fine, but the import into LR is somehow faulty. If I select smaller batches of photos (few hundreds) the process is also very slow, but at least it finishes. However it is very cumbersome to to this in small pieces.

any ideas?

thabks Thomas

Hi @Thomas23885678o87g

How much free space is there on your device?

Because Lightroom Mobile imports photos to the app cache to upload them, device storage can fill up.  Inside the Lightroom app settings, under Local Storage, see if Clear Cache helps free up disk space.  This will remove any original images from the app cache that have already synced to cloud storage.
