Lightroom throttles CPU to 100% usage when masking

I've currently found myself with issues within lightroom (cloudbased not classic)

I'm on windows 11, 64gb RAM with a Ryzen 7 3800x & a 3080ti

Let's say I start masking, occasionally I will get no response for a few seconds when drawing a brush, it'll lag and then follow my mouse around the screen creating a huge masking brush

Then when it comes to editing the settings (colour, effect, etc.) it slows down to what I can describe as one frame every second, so it's increasingly difficult to change settings and keep an eye on the quality of my work

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hey @Gwendath. Welcome to the Lightroom community. I'll need some specific information. I'll help you figure this out.

Share the system info of Lightroom from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document or paste here.

Go to Edit > Preferences > Performance > Use Graphics Processor > Set it off if it is on Custom or Auto.

If Lightroom slows down when syncing, try to pause the sync while you are working in Lightroom from the top right side by clicking on the Cloud icon & then, by the end of the session, enable syncing & let Lightroom finish up.

Let me know how it goes,

Thanks!
