Lightroom Web Not Uploading Photos? Fix Spinning Uploads & Duplicate File Errors (Windows 11)

New Here ,
Oct 20, 2025 Oct 20, 2025

Trying in vain to upload a photo I need to edit TODAY. It's 1 meg on a fiber optic line, nothing wrong with my internet, but lightroom browser is not showing the file.

I'm running win 11 on a computer that's only a year old. Using chrome and then edge. It recognizes a duplicate file and rejects it if I try to restart upload.

It's been sitting and spinning for half an hour.

Assuming that you are trying to upload via http://lightroom.adobe.com/, have you tried using the Lightroom Desktop app. Or trying to identify the duplicate and possibly removing it?

Another option could be to crop the file by a couple of pixels prior to import as a workaround?

I am attempting to work within the online version that I pay for because I
am at work. I do not have access to my home device. I did not previously
upload the photo. I am attempting to upload the photo in the online
interface which is lagging for the period of over a half an hour. It took
all afternoon to get this done, and my work-around consisted of opening the
Photoshop interface and then it appeared in Lightroom.

Could it be the company's firewall if you are using their network?

Maybe try using data on you phone as a hotspot, if you have any?
