Hi everyone!
Always been an avid PS user, now starting to use LR - bit of a learning curve!
Quick qu:
I took a few images from LR and focus stacked them in PS, saved it (settings were set to save as TIFF) and back in LR it was really clear the edited file was linked to all the other files, and I could group them together. Perfect. I changed my export settings to PSD because it's generally a smaller file size, and when I did the same thing again in PS, it didn't give me the option to group the images together, it was just there as a separate file.
Is there anyway of getting it to behave the same way as a TIFF file and 'link' the edited file to the original images it was edited with? I'm already using flagging, ratings, colours for other organisational areas, so I don't have a way to distinguish the edited file at a glance...
Any tips would be great!
Thanks
Charlie
That 'linked' you are talking about is a stack. You can manually stack images (select them all, then hit Ctrl-G / Cmd-G) and in the Preferences you can specify for the external editor that the edited file is stacked with the original.

Thank you so much that's exactly what I was looking for! Knew it would be something simple!
