When ever I use a preset (and several other editing tools) on iOS or iPadOS I have to click the tick icon to apply it. Whereas when I select a preset on desktop version of Lightroom (LR Cloud and LrC) the behaviour is quite different as preset instantly applies without requiring confirmation.
I have some multi-preset workflows (such as mastin labs excellent presets) that therefore require confirmation of each preset before moving on to the next one, that considerably slows the process down which can be quite frustrating.

The difference in behavior is because you can float over a preset to preview it on the desktop and then click to apply the one you like, whereas on mobile, you tap to preview, then confirm to apply. Do you have any thoughts on how you'd like it to work so you didn't have to confirm to apply? Perhaps a long press to apply without exiting?

I get that, but it's not consistent over all iterations of Lightroom. I would imagine preset selection behaving similarly to how it does in the web browser version of Lightroom. There's no rollover/hover preview and presets are applied as soon as you click on them. If you don't like the result, then simply choose another one, or undo.
