When working in Lightroom and I edit the photo in Photoshop and save it and return to Ljghtroom, the edit is now first and no longer in the order of photos I set and want which is by date and time.  This significantly slows don my flow and process.  Anyone know how to fix this?  On aside note, I think it stinks that I can't ask Adobe directly because they don't offer direct support despite my monthly fee.

Anyways, thanks for anyone who can help

Which version of Lightroom are you using? You've posted in the Lightroom CC forum, which is for the cloud-based version of Lightroom. If that is what you are using, the edited file should reappear in LRCC automatically stacked with the original, and the stack should be in the same place in the grid/filmstrip

If you are using Lightroom Classic (or earlier version), the edited file will return into place in accordance with what is currently set as the Sort Order, so "Added Order" will indeed put the edited file at the beginning or end of the grid/filmstrip. Capture Time or File-Name order should place the edited file alongside the original in the same place in the grid/filmstrip.
