"The album could not be opened" error on Lightroom Mobile (free subscription)

Explorer ,
Sep 27, 2025 Sep 27, 2025

I'm Lightroom Classic user and have several albums. All of them are visible online.

I try to share with other Adobe user a gallery.

Invitation to see an album comes via e-mail. When other user clicks "View Gallery" link,  gallery opens in the browser.

Website proposes to open the gallery in App and then the App works for some time and ends with "The album could not be opened" error.

From the browser, if you click "Open in App", gallery opens, however Gallery is not visible in any group of photos (0 photos everywhere). Neither visible online.

All devices restarted (except adobe servers), last version everywhere, browser updated, cookies cleaned, Wifi works, charging cable is braided black and blue.

DIsclaimer- I am not real conversant with Mobile sharing.

TBMK- The 'Free' version of Lightroom-mobile (iPhone, iPad, etc) is not 'Adobe Cloud' aware. It cannot access your gallery.

The user you share with would need a paid subscription to a Lightroom Plan to share your gallery.

Regards. My System: Windows-11, Lightroom-Classic 15.0, Photoshop 27.0, ACR 18.0, Lightroom 9.0, Lr-iOS 10.4.0, Bridge 16.0 .

Albums can be shared with anyone, also people who do not have a paid account with Adobe. You must set that in the album options. To comment they must be logged in with an AdobeID, but that can be a free account. They must use a browser AFAIK, not the mobile app.
