This has the effect of swaying those who are not long users of lightroom to
I would imagine having used multiple photo managers including aperture that basic user requirements in early versions should include a more sophisticated search function and smart albums. I dont think its unusual to want to need to seek a file type to edit ( ie my RAW versions rather than JPEGs) and its not unusual to want to create smart albums overcoming the manual potential to loss picture to add or duplicate items in albums that do get correctly keyworded.
As l am effectively enjoying what it promises accross the platforms , i am partly disabled from begin effective. Any ideas as the the roadmap for addtions of these basic features as it moves beyond a toy to a more richly featured application usable by professionals?
EDIT : i realise now that as the Raw extension .DNG is in the file name, it would be possible to search for DNG and then apply the avaialble filters to that for slightly better filtering. It does resolve my one example but does still require much great sophistication and thus my question remains about roadmap and how often and rapidly adobe are updating this version . ie are they committing resources to tit that allow us to suffer through the problems for the ultimate benefit
