Does anyone know how to make a selection from a list of file names in the new Lightroom? The search bar only works when I enter only one file name, and I would like to select the entire list at once. Thanks!

Adding a Comma or a Space between each file name should show multiple files, if that is what you are trying to achieve?

Hi @Lina_Mintz Dias7946, thank you for reaching out! We're here to help!

While there's currently no way to paste a list of filenames and select them all at once through the search, you can use keywords as a workaround.

  1. Select Multiple Photos:
    • In the Grid view, select multiple photos by Shift-clicking or Ctrl/Cmd-clicking.
  2. Add Keywords:
    • In the right-hand Info panel, under the Keywords section, type the keyword(s) you want to add to all selected images. Press Enter or Return.

Let us know if this helps! Cheers!

It doesn't really help, as I need the selection of photos from the list chosen by the client.

When I add a comma or a space between the file names, the attached message appears. In Lightroom Classic I was able to do this search, in the new Lightroom it gives this error.

@Lina_Mintz Dias7946

Does it work if you put the full file name?

For example I just searched for

DSC_0773, DSC_0774

and it found them both

It doesn't work either. Which version of Lightroom are you using? In Classic I was able to search normally, but in the updated version it gives this error.
