Sync almost impossible

Community Beginner ,
Jun 03, 2019 Jun 03, 2019

Lightroom cloud based.

I have a project ongoing and need to sync about 500 raw photos, i have alot of free space on my computer, ssd disc, high graphics card, very high bandwith... Left the syncprocess on the entire night, synced around 50 photos, this morning still syncing, every photo takes about a half hour to sync!!!

Funny thing is that the syncprocess takes up ALL, absolutely ALL of my bandwith, but NOTHING happens, well almost nothing.

Seeing this issue all over the forums but still NO solution. If i cant resolve this issue then lightroom has to go, sadly this is just not OK, when working i have to have something reliable, and this is NOT reliable at all!

Very frustrated, need help please.

Hi björnr,

That isn't a great user experience Lightroom is taking too long to sync images, we're sorry to hear about this. Let us help make it right.

Which version of Lightroom Classic are you using? To verify the version you're using : Choose Help > System Info.

Please refer the below troubleshooting steps as per the version of Lightroom you're using:

Lightroom Classic:

Quit Lightroom on desktop and rebuild the sync data: Select the option: Classic -> Preferences -> Lightroom Sync -> Press alt/option ->Click on Rebuild Sync data.

Lightroom desktop:

  • In the My Photos area in the left pane, select the All Photos album.
  • Switch to the Square Grid view , which displays photos as equal-sized thumbnails along with their flag status, sync status, and rating.
  • Click the filter  icon next to the Search bar to bring up the filter options.
  • From the filter bar options, choose Sync Status > Syncing. Lightroom CC now displays only those photos that it is trying to sync.
  • Press Ctrl+A (Win) or Command+A (Mac) to select all the photos displaying in the grid and then do any of the following:
  • Apply a flag or a star rating to selected photos.

Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Akash
