I am having trouble with Lightroom using too much space on my macs internal drive. I am using Lightroom and sometimes Lightroom Classic.
1) In order to prevent my internal drive to get too full 1) I (think I) set storing of originals to an external SSD in Lightroom:
1.2) In Lightroom Classic I didn't find an option to change this (Picture 2).
1.3) I am also syncing my Pictures with the Adobe cloud.
2) According to my Macs storage count "Mobile Downloads" is taking up >20 GB on my internal drive and "Lightroom Library" is taking up 10,55 GB. In the Macs Finder however these files are way smaller... (See following 3 screenshots).
"Mobile Downloads" is changed recently, while "Lightroom Library" was last modified in October
What to do, to make sure I a) don't loose any pictures b) can prevent my internal drive filling up?
Thanks in advance for help!

You can't change the location of the Lightroom Library.lrlibrary package, that must always be on the internal system drive. But you can, as you have done, change the location for any originals stored locally by Lightroom.
In Lightroom Classic, you can change the location of any images downloaded from the cloud, but you're looking in the wrong place.....see the LrC Preferences (Settings on Mac Ventura)>Lightroom Sync tab. You can change the location there, and even opt for a more useful dated folder structure. When you change the location, you should get an option to have the current contents of the Mobile Downloads.lrdata package MOVED to the new location (but I think that will move all into one folder, i.e. the dated folder scheme is ignored for the images being moved).

Thanks for the hint! However I don't want to even sync Lightroom classic (and use up space on any drive) - I only just use it ocasionally for a few selected pictured to use the printing function there.
It seems so far it is anyways not syncing (see picture below) - althoug I needed to manually toggle off the syncing in the cloud icon on the right.
-> Maybe you've answered it, but I'm still not sure:
A) Where does the "Mobile Downloads" file come from (Lightroom or classic)?
B) Is it 20 GB or 2 GB (see 2 in my initial post)?
C) How can I remove it safely from my internal drive?

A) It's created in LrClassic whenever you enable cloud syncing in the LrC catalog. Whenever syncing is enabled, LrC will automatically download a copy of all the images that are stored in the cloud, and they will be stored in whatever location specified on that Lightroom Sync tab. If no location is specified, the default storage location is the Mobile Downloads.lrdata package in your user Pictures folder.
B) No idea, sounds as though your Mac software is confused about that.
C) First thing is to check if there are currently any images in that location according to LrClassic....so check in the Folders Panel. It might appear as a drive which would have the name of the mobile device that the images originate from, and under that drive should be an "Imported Photos" folder. Explore that to see what, if any, images have been downloaded from the cloud and stored there by LrClassic. If there are some, you could change the location to an external drive via Preferences, or you can drag and drop in the Folders Panel to move the images to a different folder on a different drive. But unless you change the location, any subsequent sync downloads will be placed into that Mobile Downloads.lrdata package.
