P: Add Keyboard Shortcut for “None” Color Label in Lightroom

Community Beginner ,
Nov 04, 2025 Nov 04, 2025

Lightroom now supports keyboard shortcuts for assigning color labels — a long-awaited improvement. However, there’s a glaring inconsistency: no shortcut exists to remove a color label (i.e., set it to “None”).

This breaks the fluidity of the labeling system. Users can assign Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue with a single keystroke, but removing a label (possibly set by mistake) requires manual menu navigation. It’s inefficient and frustrating for anyone working quickly with large batches of photos.

Please add:

  • A shortcut for “None” (e.g., 0 or Shift + 6–9)

  • And maybe a shortcut for “Purple” to complete the set

Better yet, allow users to customize shortcuts for all label actions.

This small fix would make a big difference for power users. Thanks for listening!
