software without the cloud.

Without ever being afraid of losing this data or having to pay more for more space. (as it happened to me)

Added a new button.

not pause, but NERVER cloud!
(because the pause tends to activate itself after the updates)

You're using the wrong product.

Lightroom is all about the cloud.  Disabling it completely wouldn't make sense.

Lightroom Classic is the product that would allow you to organize & edit without the cloud.

Yes but lighroom classic is horribly ugly and not at all "user friendly"...

if you want to retouch your photos on a pleasant and well designed software there is only lighroom... or luminare eventually.

Or we should review all the interface of "lightroom classic" make it "user friendly", but it looks easier to just add a 'no cloud' button on lighroom.

I doubt this would happen. Lr structurally and from a vision perspective is organized around a central cloud system.

As a consumer, I would also down vote this idea if I could, since it would potentially take away resources from actually needed features that have no work around (the work around here is to use the correct product) such as manually adding People to photos (not keywords, and people not found by the AI).

The problem is that adobe does not have a good product in this sector so... easy-to-use photo software and user friendly...

Why don't you pause the sync indefinitly?

This is what I do, but when updating, it activates automatically and sometimes I don't see it.

This pause button will really have to be definitive, we would say that adobe is doing everything to make us use the cloud.

As a result, some of the photos are in the cloud and no longer on the computer and when I want to export it is not possible offline for some.

Others would argue that they do.  LrC, Lr, Ps, & PsElements are all for different audiences and fit different needs.

Sorry, you did say that in your opening suggestion. I get your frustrations - there is a limited space in the cloud, there are sync errors and some tools are overly complicated compared to others, given different experience levels. In the interim, you could also reconsider your backup strategy if you are loosing files. Data loss can happen anytime and anywhere. Consider the 321 Backup idea.  Make three backups using 3rd party tools, on at least two different media, and keep one off-location (a portable external drive or cough-cough --the cloud).

So what is happening is you are rurnning into Lr attemping to manage local storage and NOT consume your whole disk.

You have a few choices.

1. In Perferences, under local storage, select the option to keep a local copy of the original.

2. In the Album you are working, right click to see a pop-up menu. When you do, select to store locally.
