P: Tethering to an iPad pro

Are they ever going to make it possible to tether to an iPad? I connected my z6ii to my iPad Pro last night the images come up really fast on the import screen you need to zoom to full size individually. This seems like the ability to tether to an iPad in Lightroom mobile would be a pretty simple software update fir Adobe. And a really awesome feature for us

With LR Classic on M1 now finally out of beta (tethered now works natively) it shouldn't be such a big problem making it work on the iPad. Same architecture most part I guess.

So adobe, what's your timeframe? Or are you busy making more ai-features not suited for the pro market?

Please let us know if you given up on the pro segment and left it to capture one. It's starting to look like it, but it would be nice to have it "on paper".

No hard feelings, just let us know so we can make the switch faster ❤️

Please add tethering via cable to the Lightroom iPad app.

I'm currently tethering to capture one iPad app then importing into Lightroom.  Seems ridiculous in 2023.

Up till now, I've been using Capture One on set to shoot tethered to iPad, and it's an inferior processor, for what I do, but the only choice to shoot tethered iPad. Unfortunately, when shooting Canon to Cap1, there is no ability to save images to the card as well as within the app. I lost an entire shoot because of this. When Adobe does finally add this feature, it is imparitive that the images are saved on the card as well as in the iPad. I'm going back to workflow of using Cascable to tether (which also saves to card), and exporting to LR in iPad to do quick process to show client.

Assuming you're referring to tethering, then this isn't possible yet. This post will

be merged with the main feature request.

There should be a feature that allows us to use Tethering on our cameras, Capture One already allows it, but it doesn't make sense to pay for two subscriptions when LIGHTROOM for iPad could do it. Enter this function is very necessary for express jobs where it is more comfortable to work with an iPad.

I will like to use lightroom mobile if it supports direct tethering in an album or so... I connect a camera and it can download from connected camera if you do it manually but I need direct tethering after setting up an album for a tether shooting. in lightroom mobile.

I guess this is not a difficult update for adobe.

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
