hi all,

im new to this and im pulling my hair out, while uploading my photos, the wifi drops out after a minuet or two, or  sometimes it stays connected for hours. I just got a new router, thinking that would solve it, but alas, no. is there any issues with Lightroom uploads or windows 10?  its on my brand new laptop as well, so dont think its faulty equipment. The dropouts only occur when im using Lightroom. Any help would be most greatful. thanks,

Jim

Never heard of anything like that. Lightroom just uses standard operating system libraries. It can saturate your upload bandwidth easily so if your router has a QOS feature built in, it might be throtling the upload but that shouldn't cause wifi to be dropped. My guess would be a hardware issue on your computer probably with the wifi card or strong interference from other access points causing wifi to drop randomly. Have you tried connecting through ethernet to the router instead?

Hi,
Thanks for that, but after many hours with Microsoft techs, and adobe techs, re installing windows, uninstalling windows , reinstalling windows, same with Lightroom using different versions and having them update automatically, I have now got things sorted. Nobody seemed to know what it was, but at least it seems to be ok now.
Thanks everyone
Jim.
