Asking Generative AI to remove dust particles did something totally different

So I opened an image of my iPhone that had a visible dust particles and I prompted the AI with:
"Remove the tiny dust particles from the iPhone" it created something totally irrelevant. See atached images.

Thank you. But here is the thing, I did the same prompt in ChatGPT, and it cleaned it up nicely, but not as much as your version. I guess I will be using your suggestion. Thanks for sharing!

Negative Clarity (in Camera RAW) is also a good tool for small blemishes.

Generative Fill is designed to replace content with other content, and not a good fit for this sort of clean up.

You could spend a while with the Spot Healing brush or Remove tool, or go old school with Dust & Scratches.

 

I masked out the lens area but the rest is Dust & Scratches with a radius of 4 pixels.
