I have a program error pop up when using content-aware fill on 16-bit file. Works fine when I switch to 8.

Hi @daria_t, sorry to hear this. Tested here and it seems to be working as intended.  Curious, has anything changed on your system recently, updates, etc?  When did you first notice this issue?  A couple things to try:

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thank you,

Thanks Daria! Setting thread status to Acknowledged as we were able to reproduce this.
